How do we do it? |
We have a network of like minded partners, interested in sustainable solutions. We share experience of working in successful partnerships and bring expertise from a range of backgrounds, working across all age groups, in community, health, education, housing and business. This well balanced, broad experience, representing a more holistic approach, can bring a different perspective and new connections can often be extremely valuable when you are struggling to tackle the deep rooted causes of long standing problems.

What is our motivation? |
The journey towards social and economic independence is a tough one. For many the gap between unemployment, for whatever reason, and the real world of work is just too big.
The Charity was first established in 2012 to support people caught the wrong side of that gap and help them cross it. The Charity formed a trading subsidiary re enterprises to create supported employment opportunities. Whilst delivering profitable contracts with partner organisations, we achieved our objective and our clients became: re-engaged, re-envisioned, re-quipped and re-employed. This model creates a virtuous circle of engagement with hard to reach groups, training, employment and income generation. In a changing and increasingly challenging world finding truly affordable accommodation is a huge issue for many. We know, particularly for those trapped in poverty or limited incomes already in difficult situations, this also can lead to other health and well-being issues, such as loneliness and mental health issues. For the young this can lead to substance misuse, often causing long term unemployment and increasing the risk of contact with the criminal justice system; for the elderly social isolation, can lead to anxiety, frailty and loss of independence. By creating new templates and sharing recent experience, particularly in the development of affordable accommodation and social finance, we hope to provide clients with access to solutions, practical guidance and support in developing their own sustainable solutions. At the heart of our activity is a desire to see affordable housing solutions created for vulnerable and isolated people of all ages that are transitioning from one generation to another whether that be into, or re-joining, the world of work, or contemplating retirement and old age on a low income. |
